Heart Shaped Pancakes with Strawberry Sauce

Ingredients
- 3 De Wafelbakkers pancakes
- 1 pound of fresh strawberries trimmed and
crushed (use side of chef's knife to crush) - Save three strawberries for garnish and
slice lengthwise - 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
Directions
In a medium sauce pan, combine strawberries, water, sugar and lemon juice. Cook on medium heat until mixture is simmering. Stir consistently.
Set sauce aside to cool.
Use heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out heart in pancakes. Plate heart pancakes. Set aside.
Drizzle strawberry sauce over pancakes and garnish with sliced strawberries.
